78 OVC caregivers were trained in modern agronomy and provided with agricultural tools and seeds of groundnuts, maize, and beans as start up. QEMF-Uganda implements economic strengthening interventions with the aim of improving livelihoods empower and sustain OVC households long after project closure.
The capacity of OVC households was built to save and benefit from saving groups. Total of 3 Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) groups with 20 members each have since been formed in and the Rusoroza Parish Kihiihi sub-county Kanungu District. The groups were trained in Income Generating Activities (IGA), Business skills, VSLA and provided with tool kits.
